Through the website https://dulichtiepcan.com and facebook page dulichtiepcan, the disabled can search information about destinations in Hanoi to actively organise their tours.

The project will also survey tourist destinations and accommodations and advise them on how to improve tourists’ access.

The portal introduces tourist areas and entertainment areas including 22 destinations, seven restaurants, eight hotels, and bus stations across the capital city along with assessing their accessibility.

PWDs can also gain access to legal documents related to them such as the U.N. Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and a project supporting people with disabilities during 2012-2020.

The project on development of accessible travel website has been implemented by the Bright Future Group of People with Disabilities since December 2016 with the assistance from Finland’s Abilis Foundation.

The project costs 10,735 EUR (USD 12,689), of which EUR 9,702 (USD 11,468) is provided by the Abilis Foundation and the remaining by the Hanoi Disabled People Association.

To build the website, which runs in Vietnamese and English, group members made fact-finding tours to tourist attractions, several hotels and restaurants, railway stations and bus stations in the capital city./.
