From July 7 to 8, the Vietnamese delegation, comprising representatives from nine agencies including the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuracy, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, and the Government Office will attend the dialogue session on the national report on the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) at the 144th session of the United Nations Human Rights Committee in Geneva, Switzerland. In early November 2024, we followed a Save the Children delegation that returned to Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province, which had just experienced a historic storm and flood that affected the lives of thousands of people and interrupted the education of many children. Here the organization carried out emergency relief efforts, supported community reconstruction, restored livelihoods, and ensured the safety of children so they could return to school and resume normal life as quickly as possible following the disaster.
