The youth employment crisis in Vietnam continues to be a growing concern amidst the current Covid-19 pandemic. Followed by a global economic recession, unemployment issue is feared to hit vulnerable groups the hardest, which include groups of young people, especially girls.

The International Francophonie Day this year with the theme “Francophone women, resilient women” aims to honour women who have made contributions to the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic economic recovery to bring lives to the “new normal”.

On December 15-16, in Hai Phong City, the Department of Foreign Relations under the Ministry of Public Security cooperated with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) to organize the international workshop on "Gender Equality, the empowerment of women and violence against women".
