In recent times, in the sea areas assigned for management, the vessels of Fisheries Surveillance Team No. 4 have launched an intensive campaign to promote communication, inspection, and control of fishing activities, contributing to preventing illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

Thanks to efforts by border guards to popularize legal documents, especially the Border Guard Law, fishermen in general and those in the northern province of Nam Dinh in particular are confident to sail out to sea.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Dung stressed the need to promote “dialogue and cooperation between ASEAN and China in ensuring just and humane treatment of fishermen,” especially those who are in danger.
