35 Years of FES in Vietnam: Fostering Dialogue, Advancing Equity

Over the past 35 years (1990-2025), the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) has made significant contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic development by promoting policy dialogue, social justice, and sustainable development. In recognition of these efforts, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) presented FES with a Certificate of Merit from its Presidium during a celebration held in Hanoi on May 12 to mark the organization’s 35 years of operation in Vietnam.

"5 years in Vietnam left my family with good memories. When we return to Germany, we will contact the Vietnamese community to make friends," said Axel Blaschke, Resident Representative of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) in a meeting with Phan Anh Son, Vice President, General Secretary of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) in Hanoi on May 26.
