Mihyung Park, chief of mission at the International Organisation for Migration Vietnam, said the country had contributed to the building and ratification of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.

Vietnamese living abroad sent home 17.2 billion USD worth of remittances in 2020, a year-on-year increase of 3 percent, making the country the third-largest remittance recipient in the East Asia and Pacific region.
