Vietnamese-French author Tran Hai Anh captivated readers with her graphic novel titled Sống (Live), a powerful graphic novel chronicling her mother's experiences in the American War in Vietnam.

Half a century has passed since the Paris Agreement on Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam (Paris Peace Accords) was signed on January 23, 1973. The significance and stature of the special diplomatic front – the Paris Conference on Vietnam, notably people-to-people diplomacy, have been affirmed over the past 50 years.

A Vietnamese American female author wrote two best-selling memoirs despite only finishing third grade. She is the founder of two charitable organizations, Global Village Foundation and East Meets West, delivering humanitarian and emergency assistance to people in need, focusing on sustainable community development projects, education and peace-building at the grassroots level in Vietnam.

The book presents a large number of writings and photos that German journalist Hellmut Kapfenberger took in the North of Vietnam, bringing readers a panorama and true picture on the resistance war of the Vietnamese people.

A documentary featuring Vietnam’s post-war reconstruction efforts has recently premiered in New York, coincided with the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Peace Accords and aimed to honour Cora Weiss, one of the leaders of the anti-Vietnam-war movement then.
