To mark the 81st anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day on September 2, numerous activities were held in Cuba, France, Macao (China), Tanzania and Mozambique, recalling the significance of national independence, commemorating President Ho Chi Minh, and strengthening bonds among the Vietnamese community and with local friends.

At the Conference reviewing activities commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (A80), held on October 9 in Hanoi, the Central Steering Committee for Major National Celebrations assessed that the commemorative events had been organized solemnly, on an appropriate scale, and with absolute safety. These activities not only inspired national pride and aspirations for development among the people but also strongly conveyed Vietnam’s enduring message of independence, peace, and friendship to the international community.
