As part of the Gia Lai Quantum Year 2026 series of events, on the morning of July 27, in Quy Nhon ward (Gia Lai province), an exhibition of quantum, semiconductor, and superconductor technologies opened.
Deputy Director of the Gia Lai Centre for Scientific Discovery and Innovation Nguyen Tien Nhat said that the two-day exhibition, held from July 27 to 28, was expected to attract more than 1,000 researchers, students, and citizens.
The exhibition has 16 booths divided into 2 areas, of which 9 booths display and introduce products related to quantum, semiconductor, and superconductor technologies, including proton counting systems, smart storage stations and various advanced technological applications.
The remaining seven booths showcase telecommunications services, industrial additives, and banking products, including Graphene additives (improving the setting strength and compressive strength of concrete, as well as remote-controlled toys).
Eight organisations are participating in the exhibition, including IC enterprises, Gia Lai College of Engineering and Technology, and several foreign companies.
Through the product displays and demonstrations, visitors can directly explore new technologies and consult experts and businesses about applications of quantum, semiconductor, and superconductor technologies in manufacturing and daily life.
The exhibition is expected to raise public awareness, promote innovation and encourage the application of science and technology to socio-economic development.
On July 17 in Hanoi, the National Innovation Center (NIC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Meta Group, and other partners, officially launched the Vietnam AI Innovation Challenge 2026 (VAIC) and the 2027 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad. This marks the first time Vietnam will host an international Olympiad dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI), underscoring the country’s growing role in global innovation and technological advancement. |
From July 19-23, during their working visit to the Republic of Austria, the delegation from the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology carried out scientific and people-to-people diplomacy activities with an aim to expand international cooperation and connect the Vietnamese scientific community and intellectuals abroad. |
