According to VNA, in the context of the number of Vietnamese visitors to Moscow continuing to rise, the Moscow City Tourism Committee has officially launched the Vietnamese version of Discover Moscow - the city’s official tourism information ecosystem.
The platform is available at https://discover.moscow/vi and gathers authoritative information, destination inspiration, and has trip-planning tools for each destination in Moscow.
The platform helps travellers discover destinations, cultural routes, park systems, events, restaurants, shopping areas, and family-friendly activities, making planning trips easier.
In 2025, more than 42,000 Vietnamese tourists visited Russia and in the first quarter of 2026, Moscow welcomed 9,100 Vietnamese visitors. Cultural exchanges between Moscow and Vietnam are also becoming increasingly vibrant.
In recent years, Moscow has organised tourism promotion events in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together tourism representatives from both countries. In May 2025, Vietnamese travel companies surveyed new destinations in Moscow and met with more than 40 representatives of the city’s tourism industry.
Cultural exchanges between the two countries also left a lasting impression in the summer of 2025, when the Vietnam Cultural Festival was held at Manezhnaya Square in central Moscow within the scope of the “Summer in Moscow” project, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Vietnam.

The festival brought to residents and visitors an opportunity to explore distinctive features of Vietnamese culture, such as water puppetry, traditional music and dance, handicraft activities, and Vietnamese cuisine.
According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, in the first half of this year, more than 742,000 Russian tourists visited Vietnam (2.8 times more than the figure during the same period last year), making Russia rank third among Vietnam’s key visitor markets, after China and the Republic of Korea.
Five reasons contributing to Vietnam’s strong appeal among Russian travellers are direct flights and simplified visa procedures; unexpectedly low prices; a diverse accommodation system catering to different preferences (from bustling Nha Trang to tranquil Phu Quoc); a safe environment and genuine hospitality (important factors to Russian tourists); and a colorful atmosphere, attractive sightseeing tours, and excellent coffee.
