Forbes Global 2000 lists three Vietnamese banks
Three Vietnamese representatives, Vietcombank, Vietinbank and BIDV, have been named among Forbes Magazine’s list of the world’s 2,000 biggest public companies (Global 2000) in 2016.

The rankings of the three banks all jumped over a year earlier.
In Vietnam, Forbes ranked the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) at 1,843th with revenue of USD1.8 billion and exchangeable value of USD5.5 billion.
Meanwhile market price of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) reached USD2.8 billion and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam’s (BIDV) present price was USD2.6 billion.
This year’s Global 2000 list features companies from 63 countries that together account for USD35 trillion in revenue, USD2.4 trillion in profit and USD162 trillion in assets. They have a combined market value of USD44 trillion.
In 2015, the Forbes magazine also ranked Vietinbank at 1,902th with USD2.3 billion in revenue and USD3 billion in market price, while Vietcombank was placed at the 1985th with USD1.7 billion in revenue and USD4.4 billion in market price. BIDV stood at the 1,913 place with USD2.44 billion in revenue and USD2.3 billion in market price./.
