Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked local authorities nationwide to temporarily suspend all gatherings of over 20 people within two weeks as well as shut down non-essential services including massage, tourist sites, cinemas, and restaurants to limit the spread of Covid-19. 

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang on March 26 requested China to respect Vietnam’s sovereignty over its territory in the East Sea following our big neighbour putting into operation two illicit research stations on Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly archipelago).

Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc warned that the continuous influx of arrivals into Vietnam may lead to the spread of Covid-19 among communities.

The Ministry of Health recommended passengers of three international flights IMMEDIATELY contact local centers for disease control to have their health monitored following detection of COVID-19 patients on these flights.
