The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) will lead an agricultural trade mission to Vietnam from November 9 to 12 to connect US producers, farmers and agribusinesses with buyers in one of Asia's fastest-growing markets.
According to a USDA announcement, the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) is now accepting applications for participation in the agricultural trade mission to Vietnam. The mission will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, focusing on promoting business opportunities and expanding export markets for US agricultural products.

Luke J. Lindberg, USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs, said the mission will build on the success of the Trade Routing Assistance for USMCA Partners (TRUMP) trade mission held in March while reinforcing opportunities for US farmers and agricultural producers in the Vietnamese market.
The USDA noted that Vietnam is currently the seventh-largest export market for US agricultural products, with exports valued at USD 5.6 billion, while the US is also Vietnam's second-largest supplier of agricultural products. With a population of more than 100 million, rising incomes and rapid economic growth, Vietnam is considered a highly promising market for US agricultural businesses.
Sectors expected to offer significant cooperation opportunities include fresh fruit, dairy products, poultry and poultry products, animal feed, feed ingredients, cotton, ethanol, seafood and forest products. The USDA also noted that the growing health consciousness among Vietnam's young consumers is creating opportunities for organic products, premium foods and health-oriented products from the US.
During the mission, the delegation will organize business-to-business (B2B) meetings, site visits and networking activities between US exporters and potential partners in Vietnam and Cambodia. The FAS will also provide in-depth market information to help US businesses gain more effective access to the Southeast Asian market.
