Bulgarian Ambassador to Viet Nam Pavlin Todorov attended the program, alongside with representatives from ministries and agencies, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Viet Nam-Bulgaria Friendship Association, and nearly 30 business representatives from various localities.

During the program, delegates discussed the potential, advantages, and opportunities for cooperation between Viet Nam and Bulgaria in the fields of economics, trade, and tourism. For instance, the advantages stem from the traditional friendship and the Strategic Partnership framework. On the other hand, delegates also addressed difficulties in accessing market information, finding partners, and travel procedures. The delegates proposed strengthening connections and direct exchanges between businesses of the two countries.

Speaking at the event, Bulgarian Ambassador to Viet Nam Pavlin Todorov highly appreciated Viet Nam's economic development achievements in recent years, emphasizing the leadership role of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, the governance of the Government, and the hard work of the Vietnamese people.

The Ambassador acknowledged Viet Nam's prioritization of resources for education, considering it a crucial strategic direction that lays the foundation for the country's long-term development. In the context of the Viet Nam-Bulgaria relationship being upgraded to a Strategic Partnership, business networking and meetings are of practical significance, contributing to promoting economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries.

In a congratulatory letter to the program, President of the Bulgaria-Viet Nam Friendship Association Simeon Dimchev highly appreciated the initiative to organize business exchanges and expressed his hope that Vietnamese businesses would find reliable business partners in Bulgaria. He stated that in 2026, the Vietnamese Embassy in Bulgaria, in coordination with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized a business meeting in Bulgaria, with the participation of the local business community.

One of the areas of cooperation mentioned at the program was technology and the digital economy. FPT representatives noted that the strategic partnership opens many opportunities for cooperation between Viet Nam and Bulgaria in the fields of technology and the digital economy. The two countries can leverage their complementary strengths. First, Bulgaria is a gateway to the European market, while Viet Nam has abundant human resources and advantages in regional connectivity within Southeast Asia. Second, with its “AI-First” strategy and AI Factory infrastructure, FPT hopes to cooperate with Bulgarian businesses in investing in and developing “Make by Viet Nam” and “Make by Bulgaria” solutions, focusing on digital transformation, logistics, healthcare, and high-tech agriculture.
