Vietnamese banks named on Forbes’ biggest firms list
Specifically, three Vietnamese banks were named on the list, including VietinBank (Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade), BIDV (Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam) and Vietcombank (Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam).

Vietinbank ranks at the 1,902nd with a revenue of USD2.3 billion, assets valued at USD31 billion, profits of USD269.4 million and a market value of USD3 billion while BIDV is placed in the 1,913th position with a revenue of USD2.4 billion, assets worth USD30.4 billion, profits of USD234 million and a market value of USD2.44 billion. Vietcombank stays at the 1,985th place with a revenue of 1.7 billion, assets worth of USD27 billion, profits of USD217 million, a market value of USD4.4 billion.
The Forbes Global 2000 is a comprehensive list of the world’s largest, most powerful public companies, as measured by revenues, profits, assets and market value.
This year’s Global 2000 companies hail from 61 countries and account for combined revenues of USD39 trillion, profits of USD3 trillion, with assets worth USD162 trillion, and a market value of USD48 trillion./.
