| World Vision International in Viet Nam, in partnership with the Lai Chau Provincial Red Cross Chapter, provided recovery assistance worth over VND 1.2 billion (USD 50,000) to 260 households in Dao San and Si Lo Lau communes on October 14-15, 2026. The recovery assistance aims to ease these pressures, helping affected households meet essential needs and support their children as they rebuild their livelihoods. Alongside support for immediate needs, World Vision has reaffirmed its commitment to working with local communities to strengthen disaster awareness and preparedness. |
According to Vu Thi Nga, Operations Director of World Vision International in Viet Nam, digital transformation in people-to-people diplomacy not only helps improve the efficiency of management, coordination and information sharing with international organisations, but also opens up new areas of cooperation, from enhancing digital skills to supporting beneficiaries in the digital space. |
Over the past 20 years, World Vision International (WVI) has implemented seven area development programmes and a range of relief and community development projects in Dien Bien, providing US$46.4 million in aid to support children and communities in disadvantaged areas. At a conference marking the milestone on September 29, local authorities and WVI reviewed the partnership and outlined priorities for sustaining its impact and supporting more children in the years ahead. |
