6 International Organizations Commit Nearly VND 70 Billion to Fund Projects in Da Nang

At the ceremony, six foreign non-governmental organizations signed cooperation agreements with the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations. Specifically:
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), United States, committed funding of USD 1,237,549, equivalent to nearly VND 31 billion, focusing on clean water and sanitation support; housing support and an international housing workshop; project development and resource mobilization.
Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI), South Korea, committed funding of USD 581,129, equivalent to nearly VND 14.6 billion, focusing on education, livelihoods, disaster risk reduction; enhancing community capacity for disaster prevention and mitigation; improving capacity for positive education and building a friendly learning environment in schools; supporting clean water systems; constructing and providing school equipment; and emergency relief.

Social Assistance Program for Viet Nam (SAP-VN), United States, committed funding of USD 498,763, equivalent to VND 12.5 billion, focusing on orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation for poor children with mobility impairments, bicycles for children, congenital heart surgery for children, cataract replacement surgery for the elderly, provision of wheelchairs and hand-powered tricycles for people with disabilities, mobile dental care for disadvantaged people; scholarships for ethnic minority students; and water filtration systems.
Share Sarangbat, South Korea, committed funding of USD 100,000, equivalent to VND 2.6 billion, focusing on emergency support for people affected by natural disasters and epidemics; education support; and raising awareness and environmental protection.
Activity International (AI), Netherlands, committed funding of USD 179,554, equivalent to VND 4.5 billion, focusing on providing international volunteers to participate in social work assisting vulnerable groups, and promoting English language exchange to improve proficiency among students and residents in the city.
Catalyste+, Canada, committed funding of USD 99,130, equivalent to nearly VND 2.5 billion, focusing on providing experts and senior advisors to support capacity development for small and medium-sized enterprises and socio-economic development initiatives in the city.
The total committed funding value in this round of signing reached approximately USD 2.79 million (equivalent to nearly VND 70 billion). These resources are expected to make practical contributions to ensuring social welfare, improving the quality of human resources, and promoting sustainable development in the city.
Through this signing activity, the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations continues to affirm its role as a bridge in promoting friendship and cooperation between the city’s people and international partners, while enhancing the effectiveness of mobilizing foreign non-governmental aid.
The signing ceremony not only marks the establishment and strengthening of new cooperative relationships, but also reflects the spirit of solidarity, sharing, and responsibility for the community between international partners and the local side, aiming toward the sustainable development goals of Da Nang for the 2026–2030 period.
Previously, in the first round of signing in October 2025, the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations signed agreements with three foreign non-governmental organizations with a total value of VND 62.5 billion. Thus, across the two rounds of signing, the total committed aid resources reached nearly VND 132 billion.
