AO victims in An Giang get free wheelchairs
(VNF) - On January 22nd, the An Giang Union of Friendship Organisations in coordination with the Association of Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin Victims of Tinh Bien district held a meeting to present gifts and wheelchairs for AO/dioxin victims in the district.

The presents’ including 70 gift packages and 20 wheelchairs for AO/Dioxin victims in Tinh Bien district, worth around VND 78 million (USD 3,432). Funds are deducted from the Da Nang’s Giving it Back to Kids Foundation and the Ho Chi Minh City Veterans Assistance Fund. Additionally, the kind-hearted people have been called for donations to AO/dioxin families under difficult circumstances to enjoy a happy Tet (Lunar New Year).
Through meeting and gift support for victims of AO/dioxin this time, as representing the interest and gratefulness of the An Giang Union of Friendship Organisations and whole society for families with victims of AO/dioxin, in order to contribute to encouragement and appeasement of the pain that they have to bear every day.
From August 10th, 1961, the U.S. forces sprayed over 80 million litres of toxic chemicals throughout parts of Vietnam, including AO. Around 4.8 million people were exposed to AO/Dioxin, 3 million of whom are victims./.
