Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Hung highly valued the importance of hosting joint exercise between nations, saying that Vietnam computer emergency response teams (VNCERT) - the nation’s representing agency, should improve its capacity to protect Vietnam from large scale attacks.
Since 2015, stealing information and blackmail, namely by ransom-ware, has become a major trend for hackers in the world by preventing users’ data access or accessing users’ devices and asking them to pay money for resuming access.
Vietnam, last year, witnessed over 1,300 attacks relating to ransom-ware./.
