Fifty years ago, the great Spring Victory of 1975 brought an end to a prolonged resistance war, achieving the complete liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. As recognised at the 4th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 1976, this triumph was a glorious chapter in the great history of nation-building and defence.
