The inauguration ceremony of Bac Luan 2 bridge connecting Vietnam and China took place this morning in Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh with the participation of Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong.
Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China) are two border provinces which hold especially important position as gateway for trade between Vietnam and ASEAN and China. Quang Ninh is also located in the center of two economic corridors and the Tonkin Gulf economic belt.
The construction of the bridge is important in the development of trade between Vietnam and China and is in line with the two countries’ joint initiative ‘’two corridors, one economic belt’’.
The Bac Luan 2 bridge, expected to be 27.7 meters in width, and 800 meters in length, at a cost of nearly VND 336 billion.
