Dong Nai mango to be exported to Japanese market
(VNF) – The Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has granted license for exports of Dong Nai mangoes to the Japanese market, reported the Dong Nai provincial Department and Agriculture and Rural Development.
The permission came after some big Japanese groups in the trade field surveyed fruit gardens in Dong Nai and were very impressed with the quality of mangoes produced in Xuan Loc district.
During the visit, Japanese businesses also expressed their wish for the expansionof imports of other fruits and agricultural products from Dong Nai. They hoped they could transfer modern technology for agricultural production to Dong Nai in order to cooperate with the locality in the field.

Furthermore, the Japanese side introduced hi-tech models in producing organic vegetable, flower plantation technology in combination with tourism development and technology in processing organic fertiliser from garbage and breeding wastes.
Currently, Dong Nai is expanding mango plantation areas under the VietGAP standard. Specifically, Xuan Hung commune developed 30 hectares of VietGAP mango, bringing the total figure in Xuan Loc district to nearly 50 hectares.
The province is carrying out research projects for building more mangoes and commodity production processes under the VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards and a project of extending maintenance time for mango after harvest.
Areas specializing in high-productivity and high-quality mango plantation with hundreds of hectares were formed in Xuan Loc districts such as Xuan Hung, Suoi Cao and XuanHoa communes./.
