At the meeting, Ambassador Tshering Wangchuk Sherpa highly appreciated the role of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Viet Nam-India Friendship Association in promoting Viet Nam-India friendship. The Ambassador said that the Embassy of India stands ready to coordinate with and support the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations in strengthening connections with Indian organizations, universities, research institutes and partners.

President Phan Anh Son affirmed that people-to-people exchanges are an important foundation for consolidating and deepening the friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and India. He proposed that the two sides continue to maintain and expand their network of partners and step up delegation exchanges, people-to-people exchanges, and academic, cultural, economic and trade cooperation.

The two sides also discussed a number of activities expected to be carried out in the coming period, including organizing workshops and roundtable discussions on areas of mutual interest and strengthening connections among agencies, organizations, businesses and localities of the two countries.

The two sides agreed to continue maintaining regular exchanges and close coordination, and to implement practical activities that contribute to promoting the Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Viet Nam and India.
