The FPT Information System Company (FPT IS) has won a USD33.6-million contract to develop a tax management system in Bangladesh.

The company bet five bidders from the UK, France, Canada, China, and Luxemburg to win the contract. This is Bangladesh’s biggest-ever turnkey project.

FPT-IS will implement the project IVAS over 12 months and provide maintenance service in the following five years. Its technicians will carry out solutions on software, infrastructure and management services for more than 320 local tax agencies under NBR.

The signing of the IVAS deal confirmed that Vietnam’s information and technology (IT) capacity is capable of meeting the requirements of large-scale projects in foreign countries, said FPT IS Chairman Do Cao Bao at the signing ceremony./.
