Ha Long tourism area suffused with Chinese ads billboards
VNF - Coming to Bai Chay (Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province), visitors can’t help being confused by Chinese advertising billboards which makes here look like a China town.
The massive influx of Chinese tourist to Quang Ninh recently has led to shops in Bai Chay tourist area, Ha Long city displaying many advertising billboards in Chinese. On the streets of Ha Long, Vuon Dao, Hau Can,… there are many boards only in Chinese with two colors yellow and red. They are not be controlled or removed by authorities.
Notably, there are boards in Vietnamese and Chinese but different ad content.
“They advertise in Chinese that they sell perfumes, bracelets made of precious wood. However, they don’t have not such items’’ said Tran Vinh, a tour guide.
