Hanoi Old Quarter deserted right before the New Year of Ox
The bustling Hanoi these days are sleep deep in silence as shops' doors have been slammed down, not sure what day to wake up, altogether leaves a strange sight on the streets where each square meter of real estate cost billions VND. Due to the current outbreak of COVID-19, only the essential stores still operate.
Clothing stores try to promote sale programs to gain back their capital before closing for the Tet holiday. It seems that only Hang Ma street has a bit of the usually hustling atmosphere. Most of the shops that can open on this occasion are owned by homeowners without having to rent premises.
