Hanoi to Light Up the Sky with Six Fireworks Displays on National Day

From 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on September 2, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays at six locations to celebrate the National Day, including a total of 3,600 high-altitude fireworks and 540 low-altitude racks.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Le Hong Son has just signed and issued Plan No. 236/KH-UBND of the city People’s Committee on organizing fireworks displays on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) in the capital city of Hanoi.

Accordingly, the city will have six fireworks sites combining high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks and pyrotechnics, specifically: high-altitude fireworks combined with low-altitude fireworks and pyrotechnics (2 sites); site No. 1 in front of the headquarters of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, Hoan Kiem Ward; site No. 2 in front of Hanoi Post Office, Hoan Kiem Ward.

High-altitude fireworks combined with low-altitude fireworks (4 sites), specifically: site No. 3 at Dua Island, Thong Nhat Park, Hai Ba Trung Ward; site No. 4 in front of the Aquatic Sports Palace, National Sports Complex, Tu Liem Ward; site No. 5 at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, Tay Ho Ward; site No. 6 at Van Quan Lake, Ha Dong Ward.

High-altitude fireworks will total 3,600 shells (600 shells at each site); low-altitude fireworks will total 540 racks (90 racks at each site); the display will last for 15 minutes; the firing time will be from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on September 2.

The city requires the Hanoi Capital Command to take the lead and coordinate with the city police to strictly direct patrol, guard, maintain security and social order, prevent fires and explosions, and ensure absolute safety before, during, and after the fireworks displays at all sites.

The Hanoi City Police will develop plans to ensure social security and traffic safety; in particular, guide and manage traffic flow around the fireworks display areas; facilitate the movement of vehicles transporting fireworks and technical equipment to the sites; and ensure the availability of forces and equipment for fire prevention and firefighting tasks.

The city requires the People’s Committees of Hoan Kiem, Tu Liem, Tay Ho, and Hai Ba Trung wards to effectively carry out propaganda and promotion activities, organize cultural and artistic performances to serve the public at the fireworks display sites, and ensure timely response plans in case of any incidents.
