Health ministry offers free medical examinations to Ha Tinh locals
Doctors from the Youth Union under the Ministry of Health (MoH) offered free medical examinations for the locals of Can Loc district in the central province of Ha Tinh on July 21.

Nguyen Anh Quang, Secretary of the ministry’s Youth Union, said that the volunteer doctors also offered free counseling, free medicines and gifts to more than 500 residents in Dong Loc commune.
The delegation donated ten gifts to the families of 10 maidens who sacrificed their lives while volunteering to help with logistics work at the Dong Loc T-junction during the war.
The MoH also presented medical devices for Dong Loc Commune Health Station and Can Loc General Hospital, in addition to 10 water filters for 10 preschools in Can Loc district.
Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien said that although 50 years have passed, the meaning of Dong Loc Victory is still bears the same value as a symbol of the will and strength of the army and people in defending the nation.
She said that the activities were organised to help local policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged people to receive a better standard of healthcare.
The minister praised the spirit of volunteers, who are young doctors from the central hospitals, for providing the medical examinations for people in Dong Loc commune. She also stated that through the voluntary activities, they have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the life of local people, especially those in areas with difficult conditions, and will be encouraged to get involved in other meaningful volunteering activities for the community./.
