On September 29 and 30, Heartbeat Vietnam, a programme of VinaCapital Foundation, and the doctors from the Tam Duc Heart Hospital organised a mobile outreach clinic for more than 1,000 children under 18 years old in Hong Ngu Town and Lap Vo District of Dong Thao province.

The event was sponsored HSBC Vietnam, IDP and the brand LiF Kun, Kido Group and the brand Mi Dai Gia Dinh.
About 1,100 children under 18 years old received free heart scanning at Hong Ngu Area General Hospital (Hong Ngu Town) on the first day and Vinh Thanh Kindergarten (Lap Vo District) on the next.
A large number of families took their children to get the free examination and consultancy from doctors about cardiovascular health.
HSBC volunteers also organised various activities for the children while waiting for the heart screening such as painting statue, coloring sand pictures...
Of more than 1,100 children who came, doctors diagnosed 12 cases of congenital heart defects. Heartbeat Vietnam will follow the cases of these children to support them soon in the near future.
Wishing to be able to help "Every baby have a heart check-up at least once in their lives", Heartbeat Vietnam will continue the journey of free screening in the future.
Founded in 2006, VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) aims to empower the children and youth of Vietnam, by providing opportunities for growth and improvement through health and education programs. The work of VCF touches the lives of millions of Vietnamese in 63 provinces every year.
VCF’s grassroots medical programs include Heartbeat Vietnam and Rural Outreach Clinics - designed to locate diseased at risk and disadvantaged children in even the remotest areas and provide access to quality healthcare.
Heartbeat Vietnam has provided heart operations since 2006 for children across Vietnam, as well as helping to improve cardiac and pediatric care in Vietnam via a telemedicine training series, equipment donations, and support for province-level pediatric outreach centers./.
