High school students flock to Temple of Literature for good luck
A large number of students flock to Temple of Literature to pray for good luck as the national high school exam is approaching.
As the first university of Vietnam, every year on this period of time, the Temple of Literature attracts numerous students to come here praying for good luck.
Hundreds of students line up to buy tickets.
Parents also come to pray for their children's good luck.
Approximately 860000 students will enter the 2017 national high school exam from June 22-24.
“I hope to do well and will be admitted to University of Foreign Trade”, Pham Hong Viet, former student of Xa La High School said.
Many high schools in Hanoi perform incense-burning ceremonies at the Temple of Literature, both to help the students confidently enter the exam, and to keep memories between teachers and students.
