| Founded in 1915, Helen Keller International's (HKI) projects focus on combating the causes and consequences of blindness and malnutrition by establishing programs related to vision, health and nutrition. Recently, HKI has established the Enhanced Homestead Food Production programs to empower women from poor households in Africa and Asia with the education and resources needed to raise their own nutritious foods. Accordingly, women receive hands-on training in gardening and farming practices./. |
