On the morning of October 26 in Hanoi, within the framework of the Signing Ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (the Hanoi Convention), General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, held bilateral meetings with leaders of ministries, law enforcement agencies, and international enterprises to strengthen cooperation in security, transnational crime prevention, and cybersecurity.

The opening ceremony for the signing of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, held in Hanoi (referred to as the Hanoi Convention), marks a remarkable achievement in Vietnam’s multilateral diplomacy. With the participation and unanimous support of more than 150 countries, the Convention not only establishes the first global legal framework in the field of cybercrime prevention and control but also reflects the interests and voices of developing countries in the global digitalization process.
