Institute for Journalism and Communication Training inaugurated in USSH
The Institute for Journalism and Communication Training was recently inaugurated in Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH).
The Institute is chartered by incorporating the Journalism and Communication Faculty and the Center for Media Practice. It is so far the first case in USSH in which a faculty evolved to an institute.
Vice rector of USSH, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Kim and Assoc.Prof. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Head of the Institute in the inauguration ceremony.
According to Head of the Institute, Assoc.Prof. Dang Thi Thu Huong, the vision of the Institute is to improve training approach and contents, persifying training options, striving toward regional and international standard.
In addition to a proper blend between theory and practice, the training curriculum will focus on new perspective of communication technology, and the characteristics of modern audience.
The institute is now offering 4 majors, which are Journalism, Multi-media Communication, PR-Advertising and Journalism-Communication Management.
At the moment, in addition to two majors offering Bachelor Degree which are Journalism and PR, the Institute offers three options for Master programme, which are research-oriented journalism, application-oriented journalism and international program in Communication Management (partner with Stirling University, UK)./.
