Japanese Company's project covers more roads in Bac Ninh, Bac Giang provinces

(VNF) - Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Bac Giang province and Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd co-hosted a ceremony to hand-over “Lighting up the countryside” project to local people in Viet Thang Nui village, Dong Phuc commune, Yen Dung district, Bac Giang province.

After two months of implementation, the Japanese Company has invested more than VND200 million for a lighting system along nine km of road of Don 19 village, Huong Son commune, Lang Giang district; Ngo Khong village, Chau Minh commune, Hiep Hoa district; Viet Thang Nui village, Dong Phuc commune, Yen Dung district and Bao Son village, Bao Son commune, Luc Nam district.

All lights are fitted with durable composite material trough pipes and using power-saving compact lights.

Speaking at the event on May 7th, Mr. Sawa Shunji - General Director of Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd said that together with well-made inter-village concrete road system, these new lights will actively support the theme of “Developing industrial parks with rural development” set by the Government, thus laying a good foundation for sustainable development of the nation and protecting the environment.

This project aims to bring the light to dark alleys that have not had lighting system, contributing to ensure the traffic safety and to build up countryside more and more civilized and modern.

Apart from ensuing traffic safety (especially at nighttime), social orders, and create a beautiful and modern rural road system, “Lighting up the countryside” program also demonstrates the spirit of vanguards and volunteers of local youth in building new style countryside.

Earlier, on April 28th, a similar scale of investment has travelled to four villages (That Gian, Lien Ap, Van Than, Thon Thien) from Chau Phong, Viet Doan, Cao Duc, and Ninh Xa communes of Que Vo, Tien Du, Gia Binh, and Thuan Thanh districts, Northern Bac Ninh province.

Since 2013, the project has reached 25 villages in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces, covering around 70km of road.

Following Company’s development with social security, in the future, the Company hopes to contribute more to Bac Ninh/Bac Giang provinces in particular, and Vietnam in general, toward a better future for next generations./.
