(VNF) - The project for Human Resource Development Scholarship by Japanese Grant Aid (JDS) 2016 kicked off by the International Cooperation Department under the Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

It is now open for young, highly-capable Vietnamese Government officials who are expected to contribute to the socio-economic development of Vietnam.

This full scholarship, including return flight tickets, tuition fee, monthly allowance and related fees, is funded by the Government of Japan through official development assistance (ODA). Started in 2000, the program has so far dispatched 484 Vietnamese JDS fellows to Japan.

Within the new framework between 2014 and 2017, JDS Application 2016 provides two-year master’s courses in various study fields including Economics, Urban Development, Energy, Agriculture, Environment, Legal System, and Public Administration at Japanese universities. The courses at graduate schools will be provided in English and JDS fellows are expected to write thesis papers in English.

The application deadline is 17h00, October 21st, 2016. A maximum of 30 successful final candidates will be selected by March 2017 and be dispatched to Japan in August 2017.

JDS information sessions will be held in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Can Tho, Da Nang and Hue this August.
