Lao citizens naturalised in Dien Bien northern province
As many as 76 Lao citizens have been naturalised in the northern province of Dien Bien under a decision signed by the Vietnamese President, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The Ministry of Justice coordinated with the People’s Committee of Dien Bien province to hold a ceremony to hand over naturalisation certificates to beneficiaries, who had married Vietnamese people in the locality without marriage certificates.
The provincial People’s Committee asked the Steering Committee 2627, and relevant agencies to complete procedures for granting family record books; marriage certificates; and identity papers to those who are naturalised, aiming to ensure their civil rights.
The Steering Committee 2627 is in charge of overseeing and guiding the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Decision 2627/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2013 approving the plan on realising an agreement between the Vietnamese and Lao Governments on settling the issue of unplanned immigrants and unregistered marriage in areas along the two countries’ border./.

Letters That Carried Nation’s Destiny
One of the most heroic chapters in our nation's history is the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country in the 20th century. Miraculously, we can witness this through letters, handwritten and typewritten ones, from General Secretary Le Duan to commanders and leaders in the South. These letters conveyed top-secret orders, supreme directives, political viewpoints, theoretical discussions, and even combat tactics. They were also imbued with the camaraderie of comrades-in-arms, the solidarity of compatriots, and the heartfelt sentiments of a son of Vietnam.
