Localities build up measures for typhoons
On March 11th, the central steering committee for flood and storm prevention issued an official dispatch asking the coastal provincial and city steering committee on flood, storm prevention and rescue work to build up measures to deal with this year’s anticipated strong typhoons and hurricanes.

Accordingly, they were asked to prepare the measures based on the history of floods and storms happening in their localities.
The works will be based on statistics and calculations, covering a large area and are expected to be technically capable of coping with storms and water levels of various magnitutes
After the measures are complete, the evacuations of people; ensuring of safety for fishing vessels; protection of key construction; ensuring of public security, traffic and communications; coordination in rescue work; mobilization of human resources in rescue work; storage of materials, equipment, essential goods; and ways to overcome the consequences of the natural disasters will be worked out./.
