Under the proposal, employees in State administrative agencies, non-productive establishments, political and socio-political organisations will have seven days off from January 23 to 29 to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Rat.
The Lunar New Year is the biggest festival in a year for Vietnamese. It is traditionally an occasion for family reunion, and most people will try to return to the home village for the celebration.
