The project will be built in three years, with fee collection duration of less than 25 years. It is 91.17 km in length with the beginning linking with Ha Long-Van Don highway and the end connecting with the path to Bac Luan 2 Bridge in Mong Cai city.
The highway runs through five districts: Van Don, Tien Yen, Dam Ha, Hai Ha and Mong Cai. It has four lanes with a designed speed of 100 kilometres per hour.
At the meeting with the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee on November 21st, Chairman Nguyen Duc Long basically agreed with the direction, route and scale of the project. However, he proposed consultants carry out more surveys in Mong Cai city in the spirit of minimizing premise clearance and resettlement to create favourable conditions for the construction of the project.
He also urged the consultants to conduct specific research on intersections through Dam Ha, Hai Ha and Tien Yen districts, as well as researching the financial plan in accordance with the reality./.
