Over 400 exhibitors join textile and garment industry exhibition
The 16th Vietnam International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition (VTG 2016) opened on November 23rd, at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC), in Ho Chi Minh city.

This year’s event created a new milestone with over 400 exhibitors, the largest number since its inception since 2000.
The exhibitors come from 20 markets and occupy 500 booths in seven halls on a total space of over 10,000 m², up 25% over the 2015 edition.
They are most from Vietnam, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Germany, Hong Kong (China), Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Macau (China), Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan (China).
VTG 2016 will showcase sewing machines, textile machines, automated fabric cutting machines, chemicals and dyes, embroidery equipment, knitting machinery, inspection and control equipment, textile screen, printing machines on fabrics, garment accessories, apparel and accessories.
Specifically, a series of the most advanced machinery of the industry will be on display at the event.
On the sidelines, a series of knowledge-sharing seminars will be held to shed light on concerns, challenges and solutions associated with the textile, garment, cotton, and fibre sectors, and touch on TPP & FTA issues that may impact the sustainable development of the sectors, especially following the U.S. presidential election won by Donald Trump.
The event is officially organized by Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock Company (VINEXAD) and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd. (YORKERS).
It will run until November 26th./.
