	Vietnamese Children's Literature Approach Global Readers

The series, consisting of 12 books per set, will soon be published by Vietnam Education Publishing House, Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company to Vietnamese audiences.

In his opening remarks, Nguyen Tien Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Members, General Director of Vietnam Educational Publishing House noted that the launch is not only an ordinary publishing event but also a vivid proof of the strong cultural exchange between Vietnam and Chile through a special bridge – children literature.

The introduction of "Papelucho" also showed a new direction in the product internationalization strategy of Vietnam Education Publishing House. It contributes to bringing Vietnamese readers closer to the cultural quintessence of humanity.

"In the age of integration, children's literature is no longer a linguistic or geographical frontier but a place to connect children's hearts, nurture dreams and encourage humanistic understanding. " Papelucho", with its diary format and lively characters will be a great companion for Vietnamese students, inspiring them to write their own stories," he said.

In his speech, Chilean Ambassador to Vietnam Sergio Narea recalled reading "Papelucho" with his family when he was only 8 or 9 years old. He hoped that Vietnamese parents and children will enjoy the fascinating series together.

"All young children can sympathize with the language and emotions of this famous character. The book is not intended to educate children like a textbook. Instead, the stories show the children’s inner nature, creating the impression of a real-life diary," the Chilean diplomat affirmed.

Poet Tran Dang Khoa, former Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association also believed that Papelucho’s simple lessons will be well loved by children.

“Readers can explore a new, colorful world. Along with that, through each page of the book, readers also understand the personality, beauty, and culture of Chileans,” said Tran Dang Khoa.

Siblings Pham Truong Bao Vy (12 years old) and Pham Truong Nguyen Khoi (10 years old) were special readers at the event. They were gifted a full set of Spanish “Papelucho” from their aunt.

The 10-year-old Pham Truong Nguyen Khoi said that he is excited to read “Papelucho” as soon as he saw it in his sister’s bookcase.

Meanwhile, the 12-year-old Pham Truong Bao Vy revealed that the reason she loved Papelucho is because she found herself in the boy.

“I am very happy now that the series has been translated into Vietnamese, so I can add it to my collection,” she exclaimed.
