Phan Anh Son Elected President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations
On September 13, 2023, in Hanoi, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations held the 8th Presidium Conference, 6th session, 2019-2024 tenure.
The conference elected comrade Phan Anh Son, Party Committee member, Party Secretary, Vice President - General Secretary of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations to hold the position of President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2019-2024 tenure, taking over the position from comrade Nguyen Phuong Nga, who retires from September 1, 2023.

The conference also elected comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Deputy Secretary - Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Inspection Commission, member of the Standing Committee of the Presidium, Head of the People's Aid Coordination Committee (PACCOM), and Head of the Organization and Personnel Committee under the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2019-2024 tenure.
