PM expresses condolences on the passing of Cambodian Deputy PM
(VNF) - PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Saturday sent a condolence letter to his Cambodian counterpart Samdech Techo Hun Sen on the passing of Cambodian Deputy PM and Minister of the Office of the Council of Minister Samdech Vibol Panha Sok An.
Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Office of the Council of Ministers (OCM), Samdech Vibol Panha Sok An, passed away on March 15 evening in Beijing, China at the age of 66 years old, after a long battle with illness, said an announcement of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

Born on April 16, 1950 in Kirivong district, Takeo province, Samdech Vibol Panha Sok An has played a key role in the peace seeking process in Cambodia and in establishing the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC).
He was also recognised for the listing of the 11th-century Preah Vihear Temple as a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site and for the leadership of APSARA National Authority which is tasked to be responsible for research, protection, and conservation as well as the urban and tourist development of the Angkor Archeological Park./.
