Preparations for NA election in Khanh Hoa province inspected
On March 28th, a delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) led by its Vice President Bui Thi Thanh inspected the preparations for the 14th National Assembly and People’s Council elections for the 2016-2021 tenure in the central province of Khanh Hoa.

After the second consultative meeting, the province made a list of 14 candidates for the NA election, including 4 self-nominated candidates; and 98 candidates for the provincial People’s Councils, including 3 self-nominated candidates. Meanwhile, 533 candidates were identified to fill 305 seats at People’s Councils at the district level, and over 6,260 candidates to fill 3,661 seats at People’s Councils at the communal level.
The province has made thorough preparations in terms of facilities and personnel work for the election at all levels.
During the inspection, VFF Vice President Bui Thi Thanh praised the active preparations of the province, especially the effective organization of consultative meetings which presented an increase in the number of female candidates.
She urged the province to promptly tackle arising suggestions, and increase dissemination on the elections among people so that they have deep understanding about their rights and responsibilities in the election.
“Security and safety must be completely ensured during election day,” she added./.
