Can Gio is located 50 km from downtown Ho Chi Minh City. It is famous for Can Gio Mangrove Forest which has been listed as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. The site is an important wildlife sanctuary in Vietnam as it is characterized by a wetland bio system dominated by mangrove and many rare species.
