Smuggled elephant tusks and pangolin scales seized in Da Nang city
The Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department under the Vietnam Customs General Department and the Da Nang Customs Department on August 25th seized another large amount of elephant tusks and pangolin scales illegally transported into Vietnam.

The elephant tusks and pangolin scales were hidden inside hundreds of bags filled with red beans at Tien Sa port.
The container with number sign of WHLU 2911922 was transported to Tien Sa port from Malaysia on August 13th.
This is the third time in the past two weeks that authorities in Da Nang city have seized illegally-transported elephant tusks at Tien Sa port. The authorities in Da Nang also seized one tonnes of elephant tusks and rhino horn on August 13th and 2.2 tonnes of elephant tusks on August 22nd at Tien Sa port./.
