International experts and legislators have assessed that the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term is a major political event, contributing to strengthening the legal foundation for Vietnam’s development process in a new phase.

The Law on Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils stipulates that vote counting must be completed within no more than 24 hours from the close of voting at each polling station.
