The government is asking for local authorities to use the made-in-Vietnam Bluezone app as a major solution to trace sources of infection instead of taking it only as a supporting measure.

Hai Duong People's Committee on February 7 issued official letter calling for organizations and individuals to download and install Bluzone - Vietnam’s COVID-19 contact tracing app – on their smartphones as the pandemic is growing more complicated.

The two tech giants unveil a rare partnership to add the technology, known as contact-tracing, into smartphone platforms that will alert users about potential exposure to COVID-19 patients. The app has the potential to monitor about a third of the world’s population.
