Vietnamese businesses exported nearly 850 million medical masks in the first eight months of this year.

According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam data, during the January-June period of 2020, Vietnam has earned $13.18 billion from exporting textile and sewing products, thus, surpasses Bangladesh to become the world"s second largest apparel exporter.

Vietnam’s export turnover to the US market in the first three months of 2020 reached USD15.95 million, up 19.9% over the same period last year and accounting for 25.5% of the country’s total value, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.    

Vietnam’s garment export saw a reduction of 3.5 percent year-on-year to US$5.3 million in the first two months of 2020, due to the impact of COVID-19 outbreak.
