On the morning of October 26 in Hanoi, within the framework of the Signing Ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (the Hanoi Convention), General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, held bilateral meetings with leaders of ministries, law enforcement agencies, and international enterprises to strengthen cooperation in security, transnational crime prevention, and cybersecurity.

In the context of increasingly sophisticated cybercrime, the Hanoi Convention is expected to establish a framework for international cooperation, enhancing the capacity to prevent, identify, and respond to high-tech fraud schemes.

Ahead of the Signing Ceremony and High-Level Conference on the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (the Hanoi Convention), taking place in Hanoi on October 25–26, 2025, many experts have analyzed the significance of the event and proposed concrete steps for Vietnam to continue promoting its proactive role and influence in advancing the Convention’s implementation and strengthening international cooperation on cybersecurity.
